Abstract

This paper describes experimental and numerical results concerning the deep-drawing test of a cylindrical cup. Numerical predictions obtained using the anisotropic yield function proposed by Ferron and co-workers are discussed and compared with results on IF steel and on tinplate steel. It is shown that the reliability of predicted strain distributions and earing profiles is closely related to an accurate description of anisotropic yield surfaces.
