Abstract

The experimental and finite modal analysis of floor pan of a conventional car without and with incorporating viscoelastic damper is examined for NVH performance. The 3D model of the floor pan is generated using CATIA V5 software as an initial step, later on it is being meshed precisely using HYPERMESH software and analysed using the software ABAQUS 6.10However, to validate the Finite Element Analysis Experimental modal analysis has been conducted using impact hammer and FFT analyser. Natural frequencies and mode shapes are collected at both the methods and compared together. Thus, found that floor pan with incorporating viscoelastic damper was found that better than without one.
