Abstract

The quality of silica sand and its demand is increasing in moulding and casting industries. The conventional analysis of moisture content in sand takes more time and poor accuracy. It is not economical process to maintain the quality of sand. Internet of Things (IoT) has been introduced to test the moisture content in silica sand and it is used to control the moisture level. It is used to maintain the sand with quality of sand. The sensors, controller, ADC unit and wireless network were used to achieve the automation of moisture content test on silica sand. It is a real time system which has effectively transfers the data to main control center.
