Abstract

To investigate the influence of flange and loading pattern on shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC)T-beams with high strength stirrups, a total of 12 simply supported RC T-beams subjected to concentrated and uniform load have been made. The correlative provisions suggested by Code for Design of Concrete Structures (Consultative Paper GB50010-200X) are verified by results obtained from this paper and other scholars published in literatures, recently. Then, the reliability of the suggested formula is solved by analyzing the ratio of experiment results to calculations, which shown that the method for shear strength of RC beam with high strength stirrup is safe and has a reliability of above 95%, and the formula can satisfy the engineering requirement correctly. Moreover, to keep style uniform the effect of flange on shear strength of T-beam under uniform load are ignored.,To investigate the influence of flange and loading pattern on shear strength of reinforced concrete (RC)T-beams with high strength stirrups, a total of 12 simply supported RC T-beams subjected to concentrated and uniform load have been made.
