Abstract
Experience of thrombolysis in the therapeutic time window in patients with acute ischemic stroke at Clínica Internacional, Lima is presented. An observational, descriptive, retrospective study was carried out for 5 years in 119 patients treated andhospitalized by the emergency service, of which 43 were acute ischemic cerebral events and only one met the criteria for emergency thrombolysis, having a favorable evolution and minimal sequelae. It is concluded that there is a need for a standardized protocol for the management of acute ischemic stroke, as well as the need for dissemination and education to the population for early recognition .
