Abstract

This article presents some methodological experiences with proactive technology assessment from a Danish project carried out in coopera tion between a trade union and researchers. The research project, named "New Technology and Slaughterhouses," was carried out dur ing 1985-1988 in close cooperation between the Danish Food Workers Trade Union and two researchers. The overall objectives of the project were, on one hand, to make it possible for the trade union and the meat industry workers to get more influence on future development and, on the other hand, to make it possible to improve the working environ ment and product quality in the meat industry.
