Abstract
A proportional wire system having delay line read-out and giving both x and y information from one chamber module was described. The efficiency of the proportional chamber for X-rays in the energy range 5-50 keV, together with spatial resolution, contrast sensitivity, etc. was discussed. Comparisons were made with conventional X-radiography using photographic emulsions.
