Abstract

Since the industrial revolution, the term «modernisation» has gradually become an integral part of social development. In many countries and regions, modernisation has become not only a household word, but also a goal to strive for. Especially since the 1950s, with the spread of modernisation theory, modernisation has become a popular term. The main purpose of this article is to explore the meaning of modernisation in the sphere of national political governance, as well as the practical experience and the main role played by political parties as the main political force in the development of the country’s modernisation process. In order to achieve the research objectives, the author, using historical research method, studied in detail the historical modernization process of the Chinese state, which has achieved outstanding success in the development of national modernization, analysed the inseparable relationship between the Communist Party of China and China’s modernization, summarized its historical and practical experience
