Abstract

The experience of public administration of the territories in Poland, in particular, the main provisions of the laws of the Republic of Poland «On the principles of regional development support» from May 12, 2000, and «On the basis of development policy» on December 6, 2006, describes the types of regulatory con-solidation policies (long-term, medium-term, national strategy for regional development, inter-regional and voivodeship strategies, etc. ), the order of their preparation, approval and implementation. Disclosed basis of state support for regional development, its goals and objectives, the procedure for preparation programs to support regional development, institutional support, in particular the role of the Council of Regional Policy and the Joint Commission of the Government and local self-government. A significant place is given to the analysis of the practice of signing voivodeship contracts between the Council of Ministers and the voivodeship self-government.
