Abstract

Background Analysis of the field experience of using gel-forming compositions for water shut-off showed that their application efficiency is low. So the development and application of stable gel-forming compositions with an adjustable gelling time, with high strength characteristics, including those with both viscoelastic and viscoplastic properties, capable to form waterproof screens on the water filtration path. The authors reviewed the experience of using a promising organic hybrid composition based on the KOM-S reagent. Aims and Objectives. Testing a methodological approach to predicting technological efficiency, based on the use of hydrodynamic modeling of the process. Analysis of the organic-hybrid composition based on the KOM-S reagent field tests results in two wells confined to heterogeneous reservoirs of Kumkol field Cretaceous deposits. Results During the implementation of the technology of the use of organic-hybrid composition based on the KOM-S reagent, positive results were obtained, expressed as an increase in oil production due to a decrease in the wells water-cut. A methodology for predicting the technological efficiency of conducting water shut-off operations based on hydrodynamic modeling has been proposed and tested. The high convergence of the prediction results and the actual indicators of the technology efficiency got during the performance of the PGI was obtained.
