Abstract

The article presents the experience of mastering information technologies by listeners of professional retraining courses studying in the fields of Power and Heat Engineering and Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, implemented in the Centre for Science and Education Ecology in Power Engineering. An assessment of the current situation using traditional and new information technologies by specialists working in the energy sector is given. The shortcomings and gaps in the knowledge of listeners that do not allow the effective use of computer technology in various fields of their activity are analyzed. The ways and methods of applying active learning methods to acquire skills in solving production problems using information technology are shown.
