Experience in Large-Sized Needle Fir (Abies Holophylla) Seedlings Cultivation in the Forest-Steppe Zone of Primorsky Krai

AbstractThe need of forestry in Primorsky Krai in planting material of the main forest-forming species for forest renewal is increasing from year to year. The issues related to effective use of large-sized planting material of solid fir are considered. The main problem of this valuable species planting material cultivation is connected with high cost of seeds preparation and rare productive years. Therefore, rational use of planting material of needle fir in nursery farms is one of the important tasks of foresters in the region. Based on the long-term research and analysis of literature data, the main methods of effective use of planting material aimed at modern qualitative restoration of degraded fir forests of the region are considered.
