Abstract

Patients increasingly inquire about their prospects of cryopreservation and expected outcomes with their frozen embryos when embarking on an IVF cycle. Many patients contemplate their cumulative clinical outcome for an IVF cycle and demand a realistic answer regarding their potential to have cryopreserved embryos and expected outcomes if the current fresh IVF cycle does not result in a viable pregnancy. Two major factors that may affect these outcomes are patient age and ovarian response (Rodriguez et al., 2000).
