Abstract

States, regions, and other collaboratives are challenged with adopting a unified approach to addressing first-year retention rates of newly licensed RNs. Implementation of a standardized nurse residency program (NRP) has been a successful approach. A NRP has partnered with state and regional organizations to launch a standardized NRP, assisting new graduate RNs successfully transition to the professional setting.
