Expanding Diabetes Specialty Care in a Community Primary Care Practice Center

Abstract

<p> </p> <p>Parkland Health is the safety-net health system of Dallas County, TX, serving the indigent and underserved individuals of the county. The Diabetes Specialty Clinic is located on the main campus of Parkland Health adjacent to the main hospital. Primary care is provided to residents at community-oriented primary care clinics (COPCs), which are located in underserved areas throughout Dallas County.</p>
