Leach is a senior scientist at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Lake Erie Fisheries Station, Wheatly, Ontario, Canada NOP 2PO. James T. Carlton is a professor of marine sciences and the director of the Maritime Studies Program, Williams College-Mystic Seaport, Mystic, CT 06355, and Carol L. Secor is a graduate student in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC 29208. Both Mills and Leach have served on a special task force on exotics for the Great Lakes Fishery Commission.
