Abstract

An Indium spectrum was obtained in the region 160 – 230 A using the grazing-incidence spectrograph (incidence angle 85°, grating radius 3 m, 3600 lines/mm) and a vacuum spark at peak currents 12 – 35 kA. A preliminary identification of the 4d 8 - 4d 7 4f and 4d 8 - 4d 7 5f transitions in In VI have been done.

Highlights

  • The spectrum of the five times ionized indium has been studied earlier elsewhere [1, 2]

  • Our project presumes a study of the other class of transitions, namely 4p64d8 (4p54d9 + 4p64d74f + 4p64d75f + 4p64d76p). This class of transitions in ions of higher ionization stages having large transition probabilities creates in tin in band radiation

Summary

Introduction

The spectrum of the five times ionized indium has been studied earlier elsewhere [1, 2]. The ground state configuration of In VI is 4p64d8. The transitions 4d8 - 4d75p and 4d75s – 4d75p were investigated.
