Abstract

The performance of a recently developed iterative method of exit wave function reconstruction is investigated using a through focal series of images that were obtained using soft X-rays. The quality of the recovered wave function improves as the number of images increases. The results obtained are compared to phase retrieval using the transport of intensity equation for the same data set.
