Abstract

The existence of the shear Alfven solitons in a moderate β plasma with non-extensive electrons including complete ion nonlinearity is investigated. The characteristic of super-Alfvenic dip and hump type solitons, and the sub-Alfvenic dip solitons depends on the electrons non-extensive parameters q. The effects of the q on the kinetic Alfven solitons can be explained from the effective electron temperature and the electron distribution in a potential field modified by the non-extensive distribution.
