Existence of [formula omitted] critical sub-solutions of the Hamilton–Jacobi equation on compact manifolds

Abstract

We offer a simple proof of the existence of a C 1 , 1 solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi equation in the context of Mather theory. We derive some dynamical consequences of this result. We also prove that the solution can be obtained strict outside of the Aubry set.
