Existence of a smooth density for the filter in nonlinear filtering with infinite dimensional noise

Abstract

In this paper, we prove by means of Malliavin calculus that under a local Hörmander condition, the unnormalized filter associated with a nonlinear filtering problem in which the system process depends on an infinite dimensional noise admits a smooth density with respect to the Lebesgue measure.
