Abstract
The synthesis of two new members of the family of Bi 2BaLnCuO 6+δ cuprates with LnPr and Nd with 2201-type structure is reported. It is shown that this phase with LnCe, Sm, Gd, Eu does not form under the experimental conditions invesitigated. The solid solutions Bi 2Ba 2- x La x CuO 6+δ, 0.4⩽ x⩽1.6 and Bi 2- x Pb x BaLaCuO 6+δ 0⩽ x⩽1.5 have been v investigated. The factors determining different behavior of BiSr and BiBa phases with 2201-type structure are also discussed.
