Abstract
This paper deals with singular Dirichlet boundary value problem where the function f involve u and u′. The existence and multiplicity of positive solutions in Banach spaces are established for an appriopriately chosen parameter. The proof of the results is based on Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem on compression and expansion of cones.
