Abstract
Abstract The bryostatins belong to an important class of complex molecules with interesting antitumoral activity. A related structural compound, exiguolide, has been recently isolated from the marine sponge Geodia exigua Thiele. The isolation, structural determination and synthesis of this compound are reported.
