Summary

Introduction

Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitors (EDLCs) have been widely used as an energy storage device to fulfill the energy requirement[1]. EDLCs have been developed using various types of carbonaceous materials such as activated carbon, carbon nanotubes, carbon aerogels, carbon nanofibers and graphite due to ease of accessibility, low cost, non-toxicity, high chemical stability and wide temperature range[4,5,6,7,8]. Based on these materials, many approaches have been tested to increase the Specific Surface Area (SSA) of the electrode material[9]
