Abstract

This paper presents an exergoeconomic and enviroeconomic analyses of partially covered photovoltaic thermal (PVT) flat plate collector (FPC) integrated solar distillation system known as PVT-FPC active solar distillation system. The analysis is based on experimental studies for composite climatic condition of New Delhi. The hourly thermal, exergy, electrical, overall exergy and overall thermal efficiency have been evaluated and the results have been compared with the results obtained by earlier researchers. It has been observed that the proposed PVT-FPC active solar distillation system can meet the daily requirement of potable water as well as DC electrical power during sunshine hours.
