Abstract
Children with end-stage heart failure may require ventricular assist device (VAD) while awaiting heart transplantation. Currently, no data exist on the safety of exercise training in pediatric patients on VAD support. The purpose of this study was to determine the safety and feasibility of an exercise training program for pediatric heart failure patients on VAD support while awaiting heart transplantation.
