Abstract

An unusual case of compartment syndrome involving the pectoralis major and deltoid caused by intense exercise in a professional tree climber is presented. Although the patient presented in extremis with established rhabdomyolysis and impending renal failure, successful surgical and medical management outlined in this report led to an uneventful recovery and return to previous function.
