Abstract
Methods: Embryonic pancreas from time-dated pregnant CD-1 mice were harvested on gestational day 14 (term 5 19 days) using microdissection. The pancreata were cultured for five days in serum-free media with either TbRII-specific antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs), missense ODNs, or no additional ODNs. The pancreata were then fixed and processed for histological analysis with H&E staining and immunofluorescent staining for insulin, glucagon, carbonic anhydrase II, amylase, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (pcna), and TbRII.
