Abstract

Abstract— Kinetics of fluorescence quenching and photoreduction of lumiflavine by methionine in anaerobic aqueous solution show that the flavine reacts in the excited triplet state at a diffusion controlled rate. Individual rate constants and activation energies are determined for the process.
