Abstract

The spatial variations in the relative emission intensity of N2 and N2+ radiative states and of the NO(γ) band in a large volume N2–O2 microwave plasma source have been investigated by means of optical emission spectroscopy. These variations have been correlated with the spatial distribution of the total electric field intensity of a TM140 surface mode.
