Abstract

The inelastic scattering from holmium in its one-spin-slip phase has been measured using a neutron triple-axis spectrometer. Energy gaps in the spin-wave dispersion were observed at points in reciprocal space corresponding to the inverse of the spin slip spacing. In addition anomalous acoustic-like modes were observed at low energies.
