Abstract

The process of surface wakefields excitation by the relativistic electron bunch in a polar semiconductor waveguide with a vacuum channel for electron bunch propagation is studied. The spectra and spatio-temporal structure of the excited surface wakefield in such system are investigated. It is shown that the excited full surface wakefield in the terahertz and infrared frequency ranges consists of the fields of LF and HF hybrid plasmon-phonon oscillations. The amplitudes of them are determined.
