Abstract

The results are given of an experimental investigation of the stimulated Raman scattering excited in compressed hydrogen by a train of short light pulses. The scattering was excited inside and outside a resonator. It was found that when a Raman-active medium was placed inside the resonator of a modelocked pump laser, a single radiation pulse could be separated efficiently at the Stokes frequencies.
