Excitation of lower hybrid wave by an ion beam in magnetized plasma – Reinvestigated

Abstract

Study of various kinds of waves propagating through partially or fully ionized plasma has been of great interest for scientists. In this direction, theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out and results have been published in series of papers from time to time. Excitation of lower hybrid wave by an ion beam in magnetized plasma has been considered by Prakash et al. [11]. We have looked into that work and have found several major discrepancies. Therefore, the results of that paper may not be reliable.
