Abstract

The energy spectra of gamma rays produced during inelastic scattering of neutrons on nuclei were measured in toroidal geometry by a crystal scintillation spectrometer. The resolving power of the spectrometer for Cs137 was 10%. When measuring Fe and Mn, the values of the energy lines and their errors were calculated from several independent measurements. The results for the measurements on iron, magnesium, and manganese are given.
