Abstract

We propose and analyze a new variant hypercube type topology, the Exchanged Folded Crossed Cube (EFCQ) which is basically a standard exchanged crossed cube with some extra edges constructed between the nodes. For the proposed architecture, properties like nodes, edges, degree, isomorphism, diameter and cost are derived and compared to those of standard cubes. For this new design, optimal routing algorithm and broadcasting communication are developed and proven that EFCQ is more efficient than those of conventional n-cube and its variants. We will show that the proposed architecture offers substantial improvement over existing hypercube, type interconnection network in terms of cost and diameter.
