Abstract

Exchange stiffness constants ( A) are determined for a CoCr(Ta, Pt)-alloy system by measuring the temperature variations of saturation magnetization of single-crystal specimens. The A value decreases with increasing Cr concentration. Co–Cr–Pt alloy has a higher A value than that of Co–Cr–Ta alloy with similar Cr concentration.
