Abstract
A consistent semimicroscopic model for the description of elastic and inelastic scattering of composite nuclear particles with full finite-range effectiveNN interaction is developed. With the exchange parts of both the optical potential and inelastic form factor calculated from first principles, the role of exchangeNN correlations in these processes is studied in detail. The model simultaneously reproduces theα- and heavy-ion scattering data with good accuracy.
