Abstract

The properties of NixMn100-x/Fe20Ni80 multilayer structures with exchange bias were systematically studied. The influence of composition of NixMn100-x pinning layers, annealing temperature on crystalline film structures, exchange bias field and coercive force of Fe20Ni80 pinned layers were comparatively analyzed. It was found that the multilayer films with Ni-Mn pinning layer containing some 30wt.% Ni have the most suitable combination of exchange bias and magnetic hysteresis properties for their technical applications.
