Abstract
Recent measurements of spin-wave dispersion relations in ferromagnetic terbium by Moller and Houmann are analysed in terms of `interlinear' exchange parameters giving the coupling between a central atom and lines of atoms parallel to the c axis. The fitted parameters show the markedly oscillatory behaviour that would be expected from a Rudermann-Kittel-Yosida interaction.
