Abstract
The electronic properties of solids are calculated by the Green’s function method taking account of the deformation of the atomic spheres to atomic ellipsoids by the crystal field. It is shown that the ratio of the correlation and exchange interactions in the crystal influences the nature of the band structure in non-close-packed solids.
