Abstract
Excess volumes, VE, of the binary liquid systems of methyl formate, ethyl formate, propyl formate, and benzyl acetate each with bromo-, chloro-, and nitrobenzenes have been derived from experimental density measurements at (303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K and atmospheric pressure over the entire composition range. These excess volumes were fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation to derive the coefficients and standard errors. The excess volumes for all of the systems were found to be negative across the mole compositions.
