Excess Volumes of Binary Mixtures of Benzene + 1-Alkanols at 303.15 K

Abstract

Excess molar volumes VE of binary mixtures of benzene + 1-propanol, + 1-butanol, + 1-pentanol, + 1-hexanol, + 1-heptanol, + 1-octanol, + 1-nonanol and 1-decanol were measured at 303.15 K. The VE values are positive over the entire range of composition for these mixtures. The results are discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions.
