Excess partial molar enthalpies for (acetonitrile + water) from 278 to 318 K

Abstract

For { xCH 3CN + (1− x)H 2O} excess molar enthalpies and excess partial molar enthalpies over the whole composition range were obtained using an isothermal mixing calorimeter in the mercury-displacement mode and the mixture-displacement mode. The temperature intervals of 10 K include 288 and 308 K for which no previous values exist, and the composition steps are close enough to provide reliable values of excess partial molar enthalpies.
