Abstract

High-quality c-axis oriented La2CuO4 films were prepared by an off-axis magnetron sputtering method on aLaSrAlO4(001) substrate. After a chemical oxidation treatment at room temperature using NaClO as the oxidizingagent, La2CuO4+δ films show a superconducting transition around 28 K. The elongation of thec-axisof La2CuO4+δ films follows the square-root law with increasing oxidation time, while the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) forthe rocking curve measured on the (006) reflection shows a linear increase. Astrong delocalization behavior of charge carriers is observed in superconductingLa2CuO4+δ films. The two-phonon Raman bands between750<ν<1500 cm−1 togetherwith the 692 cm−1 vibration mode observed in as-grown films disappear withdoping with excess oxygen. After removing the excess oxygen inLa2CuO4+δ films these bands become visible again.
