Abstract

The excess molar volumes of { xCH 3O(CH 2) 2OH +(1 − x)H(CH 2) v O(CH 2) 2O(CH 2) 2OH} for ν = 1, 2, and 4 have been measured as a function of composition using a continuous-dilution dilatometer at the temperature T= 298.15 K. The excess molar volumes are negative over the entire range of composition for the systems with ν = 1 and ν = 2, and positive for ν = 4. The results have been used to estimate the excess partial molar volumes of the components.
