Abstract

Excess molar Gibbs free energies (GE) and ultrasonic speeds for 1,2-dibromoethane (1) + cyclohexane (2) or tetrachloromethane (2) over the whole composition range have been measured experimentally at 298.15 K. The values of isentropic compressibility (K[sub s]) and excess isentropic compressibility (K[sup E][sub s]) have been evaluated from ultrasonic speeds, and excess Gibbs free energies are calculated for the vapor pressure by using Barker's method.
