Abstract

Experimental excess enthalpies H E m at the temperature 298.15 and normal atmospheric pressure were obtained for (1,1-dichloropropane + hexan-2-one or heptan-2-one), (1,3-dichloropropane + propan-2-one, or hexan-2-one or heptan-2-one), and (1,4-dichlorobutane + propan-2-one or hexan-2-one or heptan-2-one) using a Calvet microcalorimeter. All the H E m values are negative except those of { xCH 2Cl(CH 2) 2CH 2Cl + (1- x)CH 3COCH 3}, which are positive for x > 0.65. The experimental results are compared with two versions of the UNIFAC group-contribution model.
