Abstract

Excess molar enthalpies, measured at 298.15 K, are reported for the two ternary systems consisting of either n-heptane or n-decane, together with methyl tert-butyl ether and di-n-butyl ether. Smooth representations of the results were used to construct constant enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. It was found that the Flory theory can provide good estimates of the ternary enthalpies. Keywords: excess enthalpies, ternary mixtures, n-alkanes, ethers, Flory theory.
